Value Menu is always one of my favorite shows. I love the premise: Art for Everyone, Priced for Everyone.
Work from over 40 area artists will be showcased, and it's all priced under $50.00. Of course, the show is also a great deal of work. Any artwork purchased is immediately available-- cash 'n carry-- meaning that if you want to buy it, you take it off the wall and to your home immediately. That means replacements.
Last year, I started the show with 24 pieces and it wasn't enough to make it through the first weekend. I've been busy this year: 35 pieces so far. Several inspired by the stories of Beatrix Potter.
The piece included in this post is "Benjamin" (Bunny). He'll appear along with his cousins, Flopsey, Mopsey, Cotton (tail), and Peter. One morning I just found myself wondering what those characters would have looked like as humans...
